One of my coworkers recently asked me if there is a way to import .ass files back into Houdini after you’ve exported them, similar to what you can do with .usd and Solaris nowadays - We have a large unmanaged geo archive and during some digging they stumbled upon a library of objects which were only exported as .ass files.
On first glance there don’t seem to be any native tools for converting/reimporting .ass files, but the files are saved in ASCII, so it can’t be that hard to read back, right?
